Homestead Hospital:
A Message From The CNO
Gail Gordon, RN
Chief Nursing Officer
Welcome to Homestead Hospital. Homestead is a 142-bed community hospital where a phenomenal group of healthcare professionals and volunteers achieve outstanding clinical outcomes. We have a beautiful facility in which our employees are able to provide excellent patient care in a warm, friendly environment.
Nursing at Homestead is exciting! We are on an important journey toward Magnet designation with many activities supporting this initiative. Our nurses are empowered to make decisions that result in improved patient care and work environment.
NDNQI survey results, Gallup employee survey results, low vacancy and turnover rates at Homestead are reflective of a very positive and supportive organization in which to practice your profession. Nurses are especially enthusiastic about our outstanding patient and physician satisfaction scores, and our move to computerized documentation. In fact, we were the pilot site for the Baptist Health Computer Provider Order Entry (CPOE) project.
Nurses at Homestead Hospital have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and influence by cross training, teaching in orientation and learning specialized clinical skills. Many seminars and programs are available, along with flexible scheduling for nurses who want to return to school. Your education and development are valued and supported by our generous tuition reimbursement program. Join us now to be part of the growth and excitement.
