Promote-From-Within Policy

As an organization, Baptist Health is committed to providing opportunities for internal transfer and promotion. Existing employees are familiar with our unique culture, and will always be considered for open positions if they possess the qualifications, experience and abilities to do the job. Our "Grow Our Own" initiative is designed precisely for this purpose – to develop and manage our internal talent and succession plans by providing quality people with continuous opportunities for career advancement.

As of right now, Baptist Health offers more than 1,000 online courses and more than 500 classroom courses.

Career Center services include confidential consultation, self-assessment programs, resume writing and job interview advice. Learning Fairs are also arranged by the Career Center to help support employee growth and development.

Tuition Reimbursement

Scholars Program

Each year, the Scholars Program provides more than 200 nursing scholarships to qualified Baptist Health employees. Paid tuition is available to employees and non-employees who enroll in (and successfully complete) our onsite associate degree nursing program in exchange for a two-year employment commitment. We also offer paid tuition to the onsite Nova Southeastern University baccalaureate degree program and a $20,000 scholarship for the onsite Barry University baccalaureate program, both of which require a three-year employment commitment.

Medical Library

Baptist Health maintains a current and comprehensive medical library to support the delivery of evidence-based practice. E-resources are available, along with traditional library services.
