Find out why this is the best place to be your best!The Center for Genomic Medicine at Miami Cancer Institute is seeking a talented and experienced Molecular Technologist to join our newly established Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory. The selected candidate will have an opportunity to join the team to build this laboratory from the ground up. The laboratory has a strong focus on cancer diagnostics to support personalized medicine. The laboratory provides high quality results to our physicians and patients, and requires a high level of dedication and attention to details. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced individual to join our state-of-art laboratory.  The Medical Technologist performs laboratory analyses in an accurate, timely, courteous and effective manner to support comprehensive patient care.

Applicants must possess a bachelor of science or clinical laboratory science degree.  All candidates require a State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license in appropriate discipline(s) with complete knowledge of medical technology theory and practice. 

Certification or eligibility as a technologist in molecular biology, MB (ASCP) required.  Strong molecular techniques are required, including but not limited to: Previous experience with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS); PCR, RT-PCR, fragment analysis; Sanger sequencing; Manual/automated nucleic acid extraction.  At least 3 years of pertinent laboratory experience working in a molecular diagnostic lab is preferred.  Dedication and a desire to provide high quality patient care is a must.
