The Patient Scheduler at Baptist Health South Florida is responsible for scheduling patient appointments (surgical, diagnostic therapy and other procedures/treatments). The Patient Scheduler obtains and verifies necessary demographic and insurance information. Registers patients and enters data into scheduling systems. The Patient Scheduler maintains records and accounts and provides professional customer service.

  • High School,Cert,GED,
  • One year of experience in healthcare and/or customer service setting.
  • Experience in surgical scheduling in a high volume medical setting preferred. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Scheduling Systems (i.e. Net Access, Centricity, Pathways Healthcare Scheduling, Chartlinks etc.). Medical Terminology required. 
  • Experience with high-volume scheduling, at least 50 patients a day required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication. Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills. Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
