West Kendall Baptist Hospital
The newest member of the Baptist Health organization, West Kendall Baptist Hospital, is scheduled to open in 2011. This facility will provide much-needed surgical, emergency, maternity and diagnostic services to area residents.
Right now, approximately 28,000 patients every year travel to other Baptist Health hospitals for emergency or inpatient care. Another 30,000+ visit our urgent care team in West Kendall, equaling at least 60,000 people that will immediately benefit from expanded local healthcare services.
West Kendall Baptist Hospital is estimated to have a $160-million price tag, with major investments being made for hurricane preparedness and environmental sustainability. The new facility will be able to withstand a Category 5 storm, while also meeting Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards consistent with Baptist Health's organization-wide green initiatives program.
