Job Description:

The Assistant Nurse Manager, in collaboration and under the direction of the Patient Care Manager and Director, plans, oversees and directs patient care for the ICU assuring standards of quality, service and safety are met within the philosophy and objectives of BHSF. This leader acts as the day to day manager for the ICU and directly supervises the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective clinical operations and/or outcomes. Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and patient care standards. Communicates clearly (verbal and written) and performs basic computer skills within patient information system. With Nurse Manager oversight assists, leads and/or provides input into performance improvement processes.

Qualifications:

  • BSN required; MSN preferred
  • RN Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Minimum Required Experience: 3 years in an acute care setting
  • 2 years leadership experience preferred
  • Certification in area of specialty within 3 years of signing, promotion or hire
