Our Clinical Pharmacy Enterprise is a forward-thinking organization that is led by a Chief Pharmacy Officer with the goal of creating progressive clinical pharmacy practices at Baptist Health South Florida. It is comprised of not only the inpatient hospital pharmacy, but also the transition of care into an ambulatory branch.
The acute care services will be developed and expanded to create new roles for pharmacists and technicians in many specialty areas. The continuous expansion of the Miami Cancer Institute provides opportunities for innovative practice in all oncology subspecialties. The planned growth of the newly established Ambulatory Pharmacy Services will include expansion of clinical pharmacists into ambulatory clinics, retail, specialty and infusion services.
Featuring a subspecialized and decentralized pharmacy practice model with a wide array of services, which allows pharmacy professionals to achieve the highest level of expertise in sub-specialized areas while bringing them closer to the patient and the rest of the care team. This model, guided by our focus on evidence-based practice, fosters fertile grounds for the training of our Pharmacy Residents as well as Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE) students from local and national colleges of pharmacy.
Our strong commitment to education, interdisciplinary participation and support for the latest in technology assure that pharmacy staff are in the forefront of the medication management process.
With us, you will have a team of professionals committed to collective continued learning and development to successfully propel your career forward.
