If you want to work at the forefront of laboratory care, we invite you to join our growing organization. Here, we continually invest in the technology that improves our capacity to conduct even the most esoteric procedures. You already know that laboratory findings are integral to creating positive patient outcomes. Did you know that Baptist Health performs approximately four million tests each year, and that 500 different tests are handled in-house? Some of these tests include:

  • Flow Cytometry
  • Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH)
  • Immunohistochemistry
  • Pathology
  • Virology

In addition, we administer one million point-of-care procedures annually thanks to a team dedicated to overseeing patient services at the bedside. We also offer an outreach lab, where employees collect samples from outside physician locations for in-house testing. There is so much for you to learn and do at Baptist Health. That’s why people come here … and stay here. In fact, two of our current CEOs began their careers as Med Techs.

Get to know our team and you’ll learn what it means to work among the very best. It means helping to improve quality of care and patient safety. Using Laboratory Information Systems that are integrated with other high-tech solutions like electronic patient documentation, computerized physician order management and South Florida’s only eICU Lifeguard telemedicine program. But best of all, it means being part of a team that cares about your development.

When you join us, you’ll have professional growth opportunities through a formal career ladder, continuing education courses and hands-on training. We also provide a yearly Lab Symposium, in-house CEU resources, online learning through Baptist Health University and strong leadership support.
