Why did you become a nurse?
If it’s because you have a calling to help others, you’ll find plenty of kindred spirits at Baptist Health. Our nurses have a reputation for kindness and compassion that goes beyond delivering quality care - for seeing each patient as a person with a life outside the hospital, for respecting who they are as individuals, and for knowing their family members’ names. Although we all play a role in making Baptist Health the place our communities turn to for care, it’s our nurses that deserve much of the credit for our warm and welcoming vibe.
That’s one of the many reasons we support our nurses in growing their careers here at Baptist Health. With our Grow Our Own talent strategy, we make it a priority to promote from within. We provide millions of dollars in scholarships for our employees to pursue nursing degrees and graduate studies, both on-site and off-site. Our Center for Research & Grants provides opportunities for nurses to participate in clinical trials, evidence-based practice mentorships and other leading programs for gaining professional expertise.

At Baptist Health, we have a huge appreciation for the role the nursing profession plays in our ability to deliver the highest quality of care throughout our expansive healthcare organization. Our CNOs are accomplished clinicians who build strong teams and value the contributions of each individual. When it comes to attracting, growing and retaining nursing superstars, we’re all in.
What higher compliment could we receive than to have other nurses recognize us for excellence in nursing? That’s why we take such pride in having attained Magnet status in five of our hospitals and the first ANCC Pathway to Excellence designated hospital in the state of Florida. We are on track to add several more to this prestigious list.
Our heavy investment in the ongoing transformation of clinical information systems is creating exciting advancements in evidence-based quality care that’s centered on the patient and family. Our goal is for nurses to spend less time on documentation and more time bedside with patients.
